reasons why to choose the clarinet.....
reason 1.) the clarinet is the only instrument that has all of their scales able to go into double octave.
reason 2.) the clarinet was the first true single reed instrument.
reason 3.) it wasn't very flexible but it had a range of about 1.5
reason 4.) the contra-alto clarinet is another member of the clarinet family but it plays lower than any other clarinet in the entire family. (ececpt for contrabass, octocontraalto(only 3 made), and octocontrabass(only 1 made))
